MOAK is an International Spoken Word and Battle Rap performer who is best known for his lyricism and ability to engage crowds instantaneously with witty wordplay, humour, thought provoking ideas and a commanding stage presence. His art covers various themes through his lens as black male living in the UK and is inspired by the likes of George The Poet, Kojey Radical, Suli Breaks and Kendrick Lamar.

Since picking up the pen back in 2013, MOAK has continued to develop in his craft which has enabled him to work and feature with big brands such as Prada, Red Bull and Sofar Sounds. He has blessed stages across popular venues in London such as the Roundhouse, Criterion Theatre, Old Bailey, Peckham Theatre, Streatham Hideaway, RichMix and more. His growth hasn’t gone unnoticed and has seen him be nominated for Poet of the Year twice by the UK Entertainment Awards in 2018 and 2020. In 2019, he released his debut Spoken Word EP on all streaming platforms entitled ‘This Is Us’ which had the popular ‘Barbershop’ poem featured on BBC 6 Radio Music Introducing show by Tom Robinson. Aside from poetry and music, MOAK has recently tried and tested his pen in the world of Battle Rap performing on UK as well as International soil for platforms such as Premier Battles, Don’t Flop & iBattle which is seeing him gain much deserved admiration and acclaim as a wordsmith.

‘Trust Your Voice’ - a mantra of MOAK which he lives by and tries to encourage others to do in order to fulfil their purpose, whatever it may be. Fully immersed in this ideology, he plans to push Spoken Word and the art of writing to another level.
